NovaStar cancels offering, says it will concentrate on managing its loans (bizjournals.com via Yahoo! Finance)
NovaStar Financial Inc. said Tuesday that it has canceled a planned offering of rights to purchase preferred stock as part of a recapitalization plan. The company also said it would restructure its business to reduce new mortgage originations and focus on managing its $15 billion portfolio of securitized loans.
